If Colangelo gave Bosh an ultimatum to sign with the Lakers or else he won't do a sign and trade, it could be a very, very shrewd move. Yes, it could backfire, but I think it would be the `great GM' choice. Obviously this is all conditional on this rumour being correct.

As for the deal, I'd have no problem keeping Calderon, who has a positive effect on the team on and off the court. I think dealing Odom to a contender might be the best thing for both Odom and the Raptors. Maybe to whatever team LeBron goes to where he could go back to playing PF, maybe to the Clippers for Aminu, if they don't get a big free agent. Lots of possibilities.

Uh, you forgot they want jj, jc stays here at the point... I would too if I were LA.

Hopefully that Trade would give some more defensive presence, which is sorely needed, but I am not convinced bynum will step up as the defensive leader, and leaving JC at the point remains a defensive nightmare for the raps. Bynum can clog up the lanes well, especially when bargs blows his assignments. Odom was one of my favourite players when he was in Miami, and he has a good bb iq that the young guns could tap into.

Find a way to keep JJ, who could be the vocal leader on the team and I will love this trade.

Now, how do we get rid of Turk?

Personally, I like this trade. Giving up a big man for 2 big men (ok, they are not that big, but whatever). The only problem I see with this, however, is the coaching side of it. If Triano knows how to use his people, then this team by April 2011 will fly thru the playoffs. There is great potential and athleticism, lots of young talent, and endless combinations. If we can get Amir Johnson and Sonny Weems back, then this team would be set for both starting lineup and the bench.

Ideal Starting 5:
Ed Davis
Andrea Bargnani or Hedo Turkoglu (by the looks of it, he is stuck in TO for now)
Andrew Bynum or Lamar Odom
DeMar DeRozan
Jarret Jack

Bench:
Amir Johnson
Sonny Weems
Joey Dorsey
Rasho Nesterovich (if he stays)
and the rest...

It's all up to BC now...
