The Raptors locker room knew Bosh ‘checked out’ as well
This story just gets more and more interesting and Chris Bosh has officially become the most hated athlete in Toronto.
Just days after Bryan Colangelo finally admitted that Bosh may have ‘mentally checked out’, possibly in an attempt to keep himself healthy for his new team; Raptors forward/center Andrea Bargnani echoed the same sentiments.
“I wasn’t surprised. His contract was finished and the feeling was that he was going to leave. You could feel that he was going to leave for the last couple of months before the end of the season. Everybody had this kind of feeling. So I wasn’t surprised.”
Chris Bosh gave his all for 6 1/2 years, do we really have the right to dump on him because he pissed away the last 1/2 year and cost us the playoffs? Remember no draft pick in 2010 if we made playoffs, so no Ed Davis, pick would have went to Bosh’s new team: Miami…imagine that!
How do you feel about this Raptors nation? Has Bosh surpassed Carter on your most hated list?

In my opinion, Carter is still the first on my list. Just think of it this way, after Carter left Toronto, Bosh was the new leader. At first, he wasn’t used to it at all. He did not expect that he was going to lead this Raptor team. At the same time, Sam Mitchell, former Raptor coach, didn’t think he could do it either, but he was the only guy on the roster that was capable of taking this role.
Six years flew by, and the Raps seemed to be doing quite well. Kevin O’Neill was the head coach the first year Bosh was there and was later replaced by Sam Mitchell, who then continued for another 4 years. At the end of the 07′ season, Mitchell was named coach of the year and led the Raps to their first Division Title (correct me if I am wrong). Remember, all of this took place before the “Big Three” arrived in Boston. The 08′ season came and Boston acquired Ray Allen and Kevin Garnet. As for Toronto, things were going quite well until they faced Boston. During that season, the Raps barely won a game against them. The Raps were clearly struggling and that’s when Bosh started to ponder about his future here in Toronto. Mitchell was then fired and replaced by Triano.
All I can say is, Bosh and Carter walked nearly the same path. Carter demanded for a trade because he was fed up with the organization. He complained that the coaching staff kept changing and it was very difficult for him to adapt (clearly that was his excuse for a ticket out the door). Question is, did he gave it his all while he was a Rap? Bosh on the hand, did play hard for the last 6 years, but ever since the Triano era, he started to go downhill.
Personally, I don’t blame Bosh at all. He tried his best to bring this team together and he did to some extent. He surpassed Carter in points and I think that was a big achievement for him. My question is the coaching staff. When Triano took over as head coach, the first thing that came to my mind was whether he can really take on this job. If today the Raps had a coach like Doc Rivers, I can tell you now that the Raps will make it to the playoffs easily. It’s all about leadership and how to use your players. Clearly, Triano just doesn’t cut it. It seemed like he has made some good plays before, but there’s still tons of room for improvement. Rather then using the same plays all the time, change it up a bit!
Lastly, as for BC, for those of you haters that dislike what he is doing to this team, all I can say to you is if BC leaves now, you can say goodbye to the Raps. Might as well sell the organization and start up again somewhere in the US.

JS,
I agree…we have to give Colangelo time
Did Bosh check out? Maybe but he played hard for 6 1/2 years and did nt demand a trade like Carter and therefore should not get the Carter treatment
JS a couple more comments like that and you’re gonna have to start submitting them as posts/articles!
