Terrence Ross was picked for Steve Nash style

2 July 2012 No Comment

The more and more you listen to Bryan Colangelo and moreso Dwane Casey you understand that Ross’ selection was made partially with adding Steve Nash via free agency in mind.

We have stated before that Ross is a good fit for the Raptors and complements our current pieces, but the kicker here is that he is a perfect fit for the Raptors if they happen to land Steve Nash.

Terrence Ross is the dead-eye shooter from the perimeter a team needs to fully take advantage of Nash’s PG skill and he plays with the defensive intensity that a Nash run team needs to succeed in the postseason.

What grade would you give Raps draft if they land Nash? I agree on your Ross assessment, he was picked for Nash style

B+. But I’ll give the Raptors an off-season A if they land Nash. He will help make them relevant again, I think he’ll make Bargnani a much better player. This is a home run for the Raptors at any cost.

Steve Nash fits the Raptors team like a glove.

He could form an incredible pick and roll game with Jonas Valanciunas, make Andrea a more efficient scorer (even though he was well on his way last season), coax the most out of Terrence Ross’ game and help DeMar play the run and gun style he needs to succeed.

Listen to this Tim and Sid podcast to hear Dwane Casey’s comments on Terrence Ross and Steve Nash.
