Raptors and Magic discussed Hedo deal

25 June 2010 484 views 2 Comments

Raptors and Magic discussed Hedo deal according to the Orlando Sentinel.

“We’ve had conversations with Toronto and nothing transpired,” Smith said.

I am holding out hope that Daniel Orton will come in play and Toronto will revive talks with Orlando heading into the weekend. Daniel Orton does not make as much sense with the recently acquired Ed Davis and Solomon Alabi now on the roster but you can never have too many talented young bigs who can play D, rebound and block shots.

As stated by bschmitz there is no information as to who else may have been involved in the proposed deal.

There was some speculation that the Magic were trying to deal Gortat or Bass and Pietrus for Turkoglu, might have included the 30th pick, not sure because no concrete information is available.

I am told that there is no way Turkoglu will return to Orlando.

If BC were pushing for a deal he likely inquired about Pietrus, the trade exception and the 30th pick in exchange for Turkoglu, cash and future considerations
