Linsanity Reaches New Heights vs Raptors

15 February 2012 No Comment
Linsanity invaded the ACC last night and a season high crowd was in attendance to witness the NBA’s newest superstar in action.

Jeremy Lin did not disappoint as he handed out a career high 11 assists while dropping 27 points on the Raptors, including the game-winner with just seconds left on the clock, causing an eruption of applause from the sold out ACC.

Jose Calderon did his best to keep pace with Lin and boasted a solid stat line of his own with 25 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds for a near triple double.

However Lin’s fourth quarter heroics coupled with some shut down D proved too much as the Knicks were able to secure the come from behind victory.

Is Lin for Real?

Yes, Jeremy Lin is for real.

As long as he continues to get the requisite minutes in this system, he has the chance to continue to put up these types of gaudy numbers.

His scoring average is destined to dip from the 27.2 points he has averaged in his five games as a starter, but his 8.8 assists has a chance to increase when Carmelo Anthony returns to the lineup.

Jeremy Lin has gone from the being an undrafted player on the fringes of the NBA to becoming a household name.

And we saw it first hand last night, Jeremy Lin is for real.
