Linas Kleiza Finds Motivation Against Former Team

11 December 2010 One Comment
Linas Kleiza exploded for a double double of 26 points and 12 rebounds against his former team in the Denver Nuggets.

Kleiza was rock solid from the field shooting .687% including 4 three-pointers out of five attempts.

Kleiza and Barbosa provided major sparks off the bench with Kleiza going for 17 points and 8 rebounds in the 2nd quarter alone.

Linas Kleiza has been a disappointment thus far in this young season with only eight good games out of twenty one games played.

Many were of the sentiment that Kleiza coming off of a strong FIBA tournament this summer would step up as the Raptors leading scorer once he was named the Raptors starter at small forward during the preseason.

Kleiza started the season with back to back strong games but has found the going tougher the rest of the way.

He averaged only 11.5 points and 3 rebounds on .409% shooting as a starter and lost his starting job to Sonny Weems who has averaged over 17.4 points when he plays more than 27 minutes per game.

Hopefully his fire and desire can carry over to the rest of the season.
