Future Raptor Kevin Martin?? in town
Yes, it’s true the Kevin Martin talks have dried up as of late, with the Kings organization repeatedly saying that they are not shopping K-Mart, but you have to believe that with their 14-18 record without Martin in their line-up against their abysmal record with him in the lineup that this is merely trade posturing.
There are many potential destinations for Kevin Martin should the Kings decide to shop him including the Boston Celtics. However if the Kings are indeed like everyone in the NBA thinks, looking for a legit and true PG, Jose may seriously pique their interest.
Without a legit backup, this would be a questionable move for BC unless he followed it up or preceded it with a deal for a PG. As our last week poll indicated Raptor fans are in favor of keeping Jose, and using another piece or two to swing a deal.
What do you think Raptor fans??
With the deadline quickly approaching, who should be the Raptors top target??

The Raps should not trade for Kevin Martin. The kings, for as poor as they have been playing, are noticeably WORSE with Kevin Martin on the floor. That alone should say alot.
I know Raps fans want an “all-star” calibre SG to start with the team, but giving up any valuable pieces will just hurt the team in other areas. Ofcourse if the right deal presents itself I’m not saying avoid it… I just don’t see that “right deal” being realistic this season.
To me, trading any of the starting 5, Jose, Amir and Sonny is not a good idea (unless ofcourse its some ridiculous and unrealistic near hand out by another team). Unfortunantely the rest don’t (or won’t) get much in return.

The Raps should without doubt consider moving Jose for Kevin Martin. Jack has clearly been the better playing option at PG this year and although jose is definitely a solid back-up, They could use a quality and exciting player like K-mart at guard. He’s long and could prove vital in the playoof’s when ref’s are less likely to give the Rookie (Derozen) the calls.
Martin’s having a bad year this year, but his upside could be huge, and filling a need that Raps have had for years in exchange for a quality back-up seems to be a no brainer!! They’s need to make a deal to get a solid back-up in return, but these deal needs to be made if it’s there! Derozen is playing amazing for his age and couls also benefit from the learing from k-mart.
If he work’s maybe bosh will consider staying, while jose will provide zero staying power for bosh!!! make it happen Brain!

I agree Joey Joe, the move could be key in retaining Bosh this off-season
