Fantasy: Sleepers – Centres

76075863BB021_SPURS_ROCKETSWhile not all the names on this list are end of your draft sleepers, they are sleepers nonetheless based on their ADP, which in essence is what a sleeper is, a flier is someone you grab in the final rounds of your draft who is all upside but has an extremely low floor.

With that said here are the big man sleepers for this season:

Brook Lopez – He is currently the 12th C off the board but he will undoubtedly end the season with better overall FANTASY numbers than a handful of those drafted before him.

Troy Murphy – What business do we have calling Troy Murphy a sleeper after his breakout season last year?? ADP is our sleeper gauge and Troy Murphy is being drafted way too late for a C who can drain 150+ three-pointers and battle for the league lead in 20-20 games (he was #2 in DREB).

Greg Oden – Its is laughable that he is being drafted around the same time as Shaq, Nene and M. Gasol considering besides cat killer Shaq none of these names have the upside a motivated and healthy Greg Oden has. Based on ADP alone you should strongly consider adding Greg Oden as your 2nd C with upside or backup for your team.

JaVale McGee – Easily the most talented C on the Wizards roster McGee has already shown flashes and promises to show more consistency this year in his second season.

Spencer Hawes – Spencer Hawes is a very talented, yet unexciting big man. He can average close to a double-double, can hit the long distance shot and should see upwards of 34 minutes a game this season as the starting C for the Sacramento Kings. He is a solid backup C for your fantasy squad.

Luis Scola - I really don’t think he will last as a fantasy sleeper, especially after winning the FIBA MVP but he just isn’t going high enough in drafts being conducted as of the writing of this article, granted, most basketball leagues just opened, but it seems like people forgot Yao is injured or are taking Andersen and Mensah-Bonsu a little too seriously.
