Fantasy Sleepers: Point Guards

Rajon Rondo – Rondo set the world on fire in the NBA playoffs last year and he is being written off already. Detractors who claim that KG’s absence coupled with the presence of Sheed will limit Rondo’s ceiling have not been following this young guards career very closely. Rondo will settle in and claim his place as a top-10 fantasy point guard.
Brandon Jennings – No one really knows what to expect this year from Jennings. His readiness to be a NBA defender has been questioned and that definitely will not …

A sleeper is someone who defies conventional wisdom/popular thought and produces at a level that exceeds their ADP. All the names on this list fit that criteria.

All of these Shooting Guards are destined to just that.

Fantasy: Sleepers – Power Forwards

Reading this list you may ask yourself, “Why in blue tarnations are these names considered sleepers??”

The answer is, quite simply, because they will outplay their ADP’s and heavily reward their fantasy G.M’s for picking them on draft day.

Fantasy: Sleepers – Centres

While not all the names on this list are end of your draft sleepers, they are sleepers nonetheless based on their ADP, which in essence is what a sleeper is, a flier is someone you grab in the final rounds of your draft who is all upside but has an extremely low floor.

Terrence Williams – Should we have passed on him??

First let me start this article by saying I am fully supportive of the DeMar DeRozan pick and we firmly feel he has more potential than anyone else in this draft. However there have been questions, unwarranted or not, about DeRozan’s NBA readiness, and whether or not we should have drafted someone who was guaranteed to contribute right away. I think DeRozan is that man, and DeRozan WILL be an All-Star in this league without question, but there is one player that is going to make us question “How come …

Which Raptors Bench Player has the chance to make the biggest impact this season??

The answer to this question really depends on injuries to key starters. As it stands right now the bench players in line for the most minutes appear to be backup Point Guard Jarrett Jack and backup swingman Antoine Wright.
With that said Jarrett Jack has the best chance of breaking into the starting lineup as a permanent fixture. Jarrett Jack usurped former Raptor T.J Ford while playing for the Indiana Pacers last season. Jarrett Jack has the requisite toughness and D that we do not get from Jose Calderon and is …

Andrea Bargnani – Fantasy Season Outlook

The dilemma when drafting Andrea Bargnani is having to ask yourself which Andrea “Il Mago” Bargnani you will be getting.
Will it be the one who showed up during the 07-08 season???
Or the one who dazzled in the second half of the 08-09 season??
While the 07-08 is certainly rosterable, he certainly wouldn’t deserve a whole fantasy piece devoted to him.
The 08-09 version is someone you will want to look at around pick 49-50 or as your 2nd C. Still the problem with drafting Andrea as your 2nd C is that …

Chris Bosh – Where Should You Draft Him??

Right now he is the 2nd PF off the board in most H2H leagues…after only Amare….expect an up tick in FG% and Assists due to roster makeover
Some leagues have seen Bosh drop to 4 after AJ and D-12 who still qualify as PF’s on some fantasy sites, the reason Bosh is still going ahead of these two in most drafts is because of how much of a detriment their piss poor ft% is, especially in Roto leagues
Our analysis: Feel confident drafting CB4 as the second …

Chris Bosh – Fantasy Season Outlook

Your main man Chris Bosh is prognosticated to see a nice up tick in assists this season stemming from the arrival of Hedo, Jack and DeRozan, who are all capable of averaging 15 points a game. His FG% also stands to see a nice rise in production with multiple scoring threats on the floor at any given time.
Season forecast: 23.9 ppg, 10.1 rpg, .8 spg, 1.4 bpg, 2.5 apg 515 fg% 875 ft%
What we at Raptors Digest think Bosh will do
Raptor City …
